This basket includes:
2 Fabric Ukiyo-e print replica wall scroll panels- Approximately 2.5’X3’
1.) – Two geisha in elaborate kimonos one with a lantern chatting while viewing a beautifully colored Chrysanthemum garden – Navy Blue
2.) -One Geisha in a wind themed kimono carrying irises and a traditional fan with stunning autumn leaves curving from the top – Cream

3.) 2 Kokeshi Couple dolls- These are original, gorgeously hand painted and hand carved. These wooden dolls were collected over the past 40 years of traveling and graciously donated by Jessie Cummings. Kokeshi, 小芥子, are traditional Japanese dolls that have been created for over 150 years. The Larger Couple measurer approximately 6.75” and the smaller couple is approximately 5” tall. Larger couple include wooden Wagasa, oil paper umbrella- blue and red respectfully attached on the sides- female is not glued in place. The male dolls are wearing dark blue kimonos decorated with brown and blue hashing marks and wear green and yellow stripped obi belts and the female dolls are wearing red kimonos decorated with red and yellow flowers and wear yellow and black shaped obi belts. They also have 3D shaped red and white caps on their heads. There are stickers for Shirokiya, Made in Japan including their original signature number on 3 of the 4 dolls. Please see photos for basic scuffs and marks due to age.

7.) One Replica Van Gogh Japanese courtesan desktop print- a fantastic souvenir from the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. Vincent Van Gogh’s “The Artist” printed on black lacquer. In this replica embedded print Van Gogh recreated the cover of the May 1886 issue of Paris illustré, which was specially devoted to Japan. As her obi (her sash belt) is tied in the front, the style of sex workers of the time, it is clear she is a courtesan as opposed to a traditional geisha. It measures 8”x8”. It has the option for wall hanging or desktop display. – Small mark on front- please see the photo
